The island of Rhodes, Greece provided a catharsis and revelation that inspired the Rhodes Series: an affirmation of the celebration of life and death, and form and content. This series motivated three more - Garden of ... Delights, Findlay, and Traveler - all being a voyage of sorts. The Paradox Series introduced a formal visual journey based on paradox as a metaphor. Form and content are built here on movement of contradiction and enigma rather than movement from one place or event to another - a conceptual narrative instead of a traditional painted narrative or gathering of information. It is my wish that this series remain an ongoing series that satisfies intellectual curiosity and provides mystery and humor.
